About Hormonal profiling

A hormonal profiling is a comprehensive blood test that measures a wide range of hormones and related markers in your body. It gives you and your doctor a detailed picture of how your hormonal system is functioning, covering everything from sex hormones and thyroid function to stress hormones and metabolic markers. The test is done through a simple blood draw and is combined with a doctor consultation where your results are reviewed and explained personally.

Please follow these guidelines before your blood test.

  • Fast for at least 8 hours before the test, meaning no food or drink other than water.
  • The test should ideally be done in the morning, as some hormone levels naturally fluctuate throughout the day.
  • If you are menstruating, certain hormones such as estrogen, progesterone, FSH, and LH are best measured on specific days of your cycle.
  • If you are taking any medications or, let us know in advance as some can affect your results.
  • We will guide you on timing when you book!

Your blood test results will be ready within a few days. You will then have a gynecological examination and doctor consultation at the clinic in Stockholm, where one of EndoHealth's gynecologists goes through your results with you, explains what the values mean and discusses any findings that fall outside the normal range.

If needed, your doctor will recommend appropriate next steps, whether that is lifestyle adjustments, hormonal treatment or referral to another specialist. You will also receive a written copy of your full results for your own records.
