Cognitive screening

Your brain health is rarely included in a standard health check-up. A cognitive screening gives you a clear picture of how your brain is functioning today, so that changes can be detected and addressed early.
What is a cognitive screening?
Our cognitive test evaluates key areas of brain function including memory, attention, processing speed and executive function.

When is a cognitive screening recommended?
A cognitive screening is recommended for anyone who wants a clear understanding of their brain health, and particularly in the following situations:

About the screening
The cognitive screening is performed digitally at our clinic in Stockholm and typically takes 20–30 minutes to complete.
Let us know in advance if you are taking any medications that may affect concentration or cognitive function, as this is useful context when interpreting your results.
The test is not a diagnostic tool for dementia or other neurological conditions — it is a preventive screening that gives you and your doctor a clear picture of your cognitive function today.
There is no need to study or practice beforehand, the test is designed to reflect your natural cognitive function.
No special preparation is needed, but try to get a good night's sleep before the test, as fatigue can temporarily affect your results.
Avoid alcohol the day before, and if possible, schedule your appointment at a time of day when you feel most alert.
Your results are available immediately after completing the test and will be reviewed with one of our specialists during the same appointment.
Your doctor will walk you through your findings, explain what each area of the results means, and put them in context of your age, lifestyle and health history.
If your results are within the normal range, you will have a personal benchmark to refer back to at future screenings. If any areas show results that needs further attention, your doctor will discuss the appropriate next steps. Whether that is lifestyle adjustments, nutritional recommendations, further testing or referral to a specialist.
