Gut Health

Gut Health

Why?

Your gut does far more than digest food, it regulates your hormones, mood and immune function. For women, an imbalanced microbiome is one of the most common and overlooked drivers of fatigue, brain fog, and hormonal disruption.

What's included

Your gut microbiome is analysed through a simple, non-invasive stool sample collected at home, processed at an ISO-certified laboratory using 16S rRNA gene sequencing, and reviewed by an EndoHealth doctor, alongside your hormonal and metabolic data for a complete clinical picture.

Why a Gut Health assessment?

Your gut is one of the most powerful and least assessed drivers of women's health, directly influencing your hormones, mood, immune system and long-term disease risk in ways that standard blood tests simply cannot capture.

Hormonal health; your gut microbiome regulates the estrobolome, the set of bacteria responsible for metabolising oestrogen. Imbalances can contribute to oestrogen dominance, PMS, endometriosis symptoms, and menopausal discomfor
Mental clarity & mood; over 90% of serotonin is produced in the gut. Dysbiosis is linked to anxiety, depression, brain fog and poor sleep - symptoms that are often dismissed as stress in women
Immune & inflammatory balance; approximately 70% of the immune system resides in the gut. Chronic low-grade inflammation driven by microbial imbalance is a root cause of autoimmune conditions, metabolic syndrome and accelerated ageing
Personalized prevention; standard blood tests cannot see your microbiome. This assessment gives you an entirely new layer of health data, enabling targeted interventions before symptoms become chronic conditions

FAQ

About our Gut Health assessment

The Gut Health assessment is a simple, non-invasive test you can complete entirely at home.

Your test kit is sent directly to you, and your stool sample is collected, stabilized in a protective buffer and returned to an ISO-certified laboratory for analysis using 16S rRNA gene sequencing.

This is not a standard digestive test — it is a clinically interpreted microbiome analysis designed to identify imbalances that influence your hormones, mood, immune function and long-term health.

Results are reviewed by an EndoHealth doctor who will explain your findings and guide your next steps.

To ensure the most accurate results, please follow these guidelines before collecting your sample.

In the weeks before your test

  • Avoid antibiotics for at least four weeks prior to testing where possible, as these significantly alter microbiome composition
  • Avoid probiotic supplements for at least two weeks before testing

At the time of collection

  • Collect your sample on a day when you feel representative of your normal health — not during acute illness, immediately after travel or following significant dietary changes
  • Follow the instructions included in your test kit carefully to ensure sample stability

If you are unwell:
Please wait until you have recovered before collecting your sample, as illness can temporarily alter your microbiome and affect the accuracy of your results.

Your results are typically available within two to three weeks of your sample reaching the laboratory.

You will receive a detailed digital report with your microbiome profile, functional insights, and personalized recommendations.

Your EndoHealth doctor will then review your findings in a dedicated consultation, explaining what your results mean for your hormonal balance, mood, immune function and overall health.

Where imbalances are identified, you will receive a targeted intervention plan covering nutrition, prebiotics and supplements.

For those already on the EndoHealth Longevity Program, your gut findings will be integrated directly into your overall health protocol.
